Clara Helms is an internationally acclaimed singer/songwriter and W.A.A.P.A Graduate, whose pure soprano voice and stunning stage performances are spellbinding.
Clara’s last studio recording saw her off on a five-week trip to L.A. to record a re-imagined cover of “All By Myself”, in Italian and English, with David Foster. She recently returned from a four city tour as the opening act for Russell Crowe’s Indoor Garden Party Tour of the U.S.A in 2024. Clara is currently focusing on original song writing and in discussions with a well-known Australian Film Director about Co-Hosting an innovative and fun Podcast.
She is a singer who has studied Italian, Mandarin, French & German, and performed her solo headline show, “The Voice of an Angel” on tour in over twenty four countries singing the ‘Queen of the Night’ aria to resounding standing ovations.
Clara sings originals, pop opera, musical theatre, jazz and contemporary pop including sublime renditions from Bocelli to Buble, Marilyn to Celine. Her powerful voice has been chosen as the headliner for three prime ministers, governors, Australian national anthem at the International Rugby Championships Grand Final between Australia and South Africa as well as for the Ethnic Business Awards and the English National Anthem at the Rugby World Cup 2017. She was the headline entertainment at Marina Bay Sands Christmas Event in Singapore, hosted by David Beckham, and opened for internationally acclaimed classical crossover group, Il Divo, after she first rose to fame as a finalist on Channel 7’s ‘Australia’s Got Talent’.
As an Eisteddfod performer herself growing up, Clara is excited to be coming to Wollongong.
