Adele Robertson

Adele Robertson attended the University of Calgary, Canada gaining a BMus Performer’s Program with a major in Voice and a minor in Piano; she also gained a Diploma at the London Opera Centre. Adele performed in Opera and Oratorio in Scotland, England, Canada and the USA for over 30 years. During this time she was soprano soloist with the Calgary Choral Society for 8 seasons. Adele was the founder and Artistic Director of the Nelson Community Opera, Nelson British Columbia for 9 seasons. In July 1982 she made her debut recital at Wigmore Hall in London, England. Before recently migrating to Australia, Adele was the Executive Director of the Kelowna Kiwanis Music Festival in British Columbia. Prior to moving to Australia, Adele has taught piano and voice and functioned as an adjudicator for various musical festivals throughout Canada, being an examiner for the Western Board of Music, a member of the Canadian Music Festival Association of Adjudicators and a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. Adele Robertson is a regular visitor to Wollongong and is pleased to be able to return once again to the Wollongong Eisteddfod.
